Hey guys, Sorry I haven't written in a REALLY long time. I've been really busy graduating, working, trying to get a job at a vet's office, and getting set up for college. I've finally got it all figured out... I think. I'm going to my community college just down the road from the little town I live in. I'm going to take Vet tech classes and become just that, a vet tech. First I have to have 16 hrs. shadowing a vet and I have to be CPR certified. I graduated from FD High and I have my beautiful diploma lol. The last 6 weeks of school were great. I got pretty good grades. The class I was struggling in the most I got the best grades in. I got an A on my exam... which was a debate... and I killed the other girl lol. Okay well actually I got the best grades in Guitar, but thats because it was easy because I know how to read music and I love playing the guitar. Mom finally started letting me drive to school a little past second semester started. The last two weeks of school I drove there every day. I drive every day now, and love it. My little white truck is perfect for me. Oh and I'm 18 now!!! YAY!... not too much different but I like the new freedoms and trying to take care of myself. Okay well any ways. I gotta go, this isn't my computer... it's my boyfriend's (of 7 month) sisters... and HE wants to get on it... lol. KK well update me, I'll try to check in a lil while. Talk to you guys later. Miss ya. Love ya. And how come Tara is the only one who emails me any more?????????????????????????????? *Cries bucketS of tears*!!! btw............................................................. AUNT STACEY IS PREGNANT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............................. |

Hey y'all. Just popped on to read some of the entries you've written and to update y'all on the busy life of Aleshea. School's okay, but I could do w/o chemistry. I took my SAT's. It was okay, a little difficult though. There was a lot of math problems and a lot of reading. I don't mind the reading part, but I got bored easily. There were a lot of ppl from Draft (my old school) there. It was nice to see some of them again. I was there from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. There were a lot of 25 minute sections. There were 10 sections total. We got 2 5 minute breaks and 1 1 minute stretch break. Any*ways. I'm sad that I didn't get to go to Hans' memorial service. I was just reading through all the emails he sent me a few months back. No matter what he was going through, he always had a positive attitude. I sure will miss him, but I am so glad that he isn't suffering any more. Well I have to go eat dinner with the family. I miss all of you, you are all in my prayers. Much love, Aleshea |

Hey y'all! Im still here I promise. I have just been really busy with school and life outside of school... which is homework lol. School at FDHS isn't too bad. Actually its almost as good as Draft I guess. I still have cougar spirit, but I have Indian spirit when I have to lol. My classes are hard. My chorus class is even difficult. I like it though. Trig is difficult sorta. It isn't that hard since this is my 3rd attempt at it (the other two I only lasted like 1 to 2 months of it). English is really hard, but I really like it. This english class is college level, which reminds me I probably need to start reading my college recommended book (the report is due sometime next month I think). Chemistry is the hardest class I have (and I'll go ahead and tell you that I don't have a good grade in that class). I have had to stay after to retake tests and to get tutoring for Chemistry twice a week for the past 2 or 3 weeks. Its a difficult class. Of course every high school has drama, but I won't get into that with y'all. I met my biological sister a few weeks ago. I thought she went to Buffalo Gap, but come to find out she's actually a freshman at Fort. She's really sweet, smart, and pretty and I'm glad she's my sister... she also very over protective of me, as I am of her also. Well I'll have to write more later, just thought I'd check in! Gotta go study (ugh) <3 always, Aleshea |

Okay, I finally had that meeting with my new school's guidance counselor. Here are my classes:
1st semester: Intermediate Chorus III Alg II/Trig Pt 1 English 12A (advanced) Chemistry I 2nd semester: Bio II-Adv Topics (human anatomy) VA & US History Music Elective I (GUITAR LESSONS!!! YAY) Alg II/Trig Pt 2
My school has a little over 900 students, it's the largest school in Virginia (my old school being the second largest), and it has 3, yes three, stories (and I have at least one class on each floor). I met my principal today, too. He saw my schedule and got very excited when he saw that I was in Chorus and told me that I should really try out for Honors Choir and do musical theater. When my gc told me I had one my elective to choose, I asked what all I could choose from and she pulled out a list of things (my old school only had Comp., the "baby and sewing class", PE (advanced for Juniors and Seniors because freshman and sophmore is mandatory), Chorus, Art, and Auto shop.) and started naming off things that I DIDN'T want any thing to do with, then she said guitar... and I said "I have a guitar but I can't play it!" so now I have that class... YAY! I have behind-the-wheel, then I'll get my license. I will be getting a parking pass and my very own parking spot for the entire year (my pick... senior privelages!). Now all I have to do is actually walk the halls and find my classes, which I will do tomorrow.
So, any ways, I drove for about 5 hours today! I drove about an hour and a half last night. Today: Mom drove us to the school, I drove us to Grandma's, I drove us to the doctors, I drove us to the grocery store, I drove us back to Grandma's, I drove us home, Mom drove us to work (my work), Mom drove us to her work, I drove us back home! Yay! btw, this just wasn't driving a few miles this way, then turn around and drive a few miles this way. I'm talking about driving to Churchville, then to Mt. Crawford which is like 45 minutes away, then back to Churchville, to Harrisonburg another 45 minutes away, back to... to... back to... etc. I went from having an almost full tank of gas last night to empty right before we headed 45 minutes back home. It was so much fun! And I'll do it all again tomorrow! Oh and I drove in downtown Harrisonburg... which is REALLY busy! It would almost be like driving in Pittsburg, only Harrisonburg is smaller ( I think). I did stress a little then, but I did really well today. No complaints from the passengers, only compliments.
Well I'm really tired, so I'll ttyl!

I am reallly nervous. I'm scared, anxious, sometimes angry. I didn't know until this weekend... school starts on the 20th... in 7 days. I haven't even been inside of the school yet!!! Mom and I have an appointment with the guidance counselor on Wednesday. Jon showed me how to get to school when I drive there. I went to the Augusta County Fair the other day (Tara would have loved all the tractors and horses) and saw a friend that was hanging out with a few of her church friends. One of her friends will be a freshman at Fort and Mom asked her if she was scared and she said... "no"!!! Unbelievable! Point is, I'll be looking to God for a LOT of guidance. I don't know anyone so I'll have to really choose my friends wisely, whereas at Draft I grew up with them all and I know how they were so I knew who I should and shouldn't hang around. It's going to be difficult. But I know with God I'll get through it But I'm Still Nervous. |

It is sooo hot, but I love it. It's 99* out and the sun is shinin! I drove Mom to the store about an hour ago. That was fun. I even got to park out front in her parking space at home (she said that way, maybe I'll have a better chance of driving a bit more this week *tehe*). I finished my school work today, well most of it. I still have the final exam Friday. I also have Bible to do, but I'm only doing it for me, because the school I'm going to doesn't take it as a credit. But at least I can take my time on it. I love having free time and getting to sit outside without doing any thing without getting in trouble for not doing school work. I feel soooo free! lol! I actually have time to cook and clean! (never thought I'd hear myself saying that and not being sarcastic ;} ) We'll I'm going to go make some sweet potatoes. toodles |

Thursday: I had an appointment with a teacher to take a test for the school board in Waynesboro. I had to be at the library at 3:30. I had no clue why I was taking this test. All I knew was that I had to take it because I didn't have proof that I am on the same level as all the other seniors because I didn't turn my school work for this year in yet. Any ways, I was really nervous about taking this test because I didn't know what to expect, which left me with nothing to study either. When I got to the back room there was another girl taking a test (come to find out, there are more student that are in the same position as me). When she and the teacher left to go talk to her mother, I was asked to sit inside. I looked at the notebook that the girl before me was reading from. It scarred me at first because I was thinking "oh no, I'll be doing math and word problems with out paper!!" But I later found out that wasn't the case. The first part of the test was reading words. There was just a long list of words that I had to read out loud. She said "Now this list goes all the way up to College and adult level, so I don't expect you to get them all right."... I did. So then she asked me if I was good at reading, and of course I said yes. The rest of the test consisted of easy sentences that I had to finish or write, word problems, really easy math problems that were timed (3 min. to do 9-9= and 7x6=, etc), and some alg/trig questions (I didn't get all of them, though, because I didn't finish alg./trig. this year). The teacher told my mom that she was really impressed by me. I did great in reading and writing and I wouldn't give up in math. I quote her from her report: "Aleshea's ability to apply academic skills is within the average range of others at her age level. her academic skills and fluency with academic tasks are both within the high average range. When compared to others at her age level, Aleshea's perfromance is superior in broad reading; high average in written language and written expression; and average in mathematics and math calculation." Here are my levels: Broad reading: 122-Superior Broad Math: 96-Average Broad written language: 114-(high) Above Average Math Calculation Skills: 98-Average Written Expression: 114-(high) Above Average (the teacher said that it could and should've been superior but I was too determined to make them perfect and I stressed over them). Academic skills: 113-(high) Above Average Academic Fluency: 116-(high) Above Average Academic Apps: 102-(high) Above Average
Letter-word Identification: superior; Reading Fluency: superior; Calculation: average; Math Fluency: average; Spelling: (high) Above Average; Writing Fluency: (high) Above Average; Passage Comprehension: (high) Above Average; Applied Problems: Average; Writing Samples: very high (126 and the highest is 130) superior.
Friday: I woke up and my abscess was so big that I couldn't close my jaw all the way and I couldn't eat or hardly talk. So when Mom got home from work, she called the dentist, but his answering machine said that he wouldn't be open again until Monday and I couldn't wait that long or it was going to bust, which is really bad. So we called my doctor, but he's out with back surgery. So we went to Emergicare and they were jam packed but recommended that we call the hospital. But the hospital recommended that we call the oral surgeon across the street... where I got my wisdom teeth taken out. So we set up an appointment there for 2:30 that same day. Mom told me that I probably wouldn't need to get it cut open just yet, but I would get penicilin (sp?), but before we left she told me to change my shirt because I might get blood on it!!! I said "WHAT! why would I get blood on it?" lol. When we got there they xray'd it and took a look at it and said "okay, we are going to give you some laughing gas and then cut it open to get the puss out of it. I freaked. But they gave me the gas the entire time, they poked it (shot) and numbed it (they said then it already started rolling out ( the puss that is)). Then they finally cut it upen and got the stuff out of it. They perscribed me to penicilin and hydrocodine (I think that's how you spell them). So Mom's old boss that we bumped into probably thinks I'm retarded. The medicine kicked in as soon as he walked up to our table. He asked me what grade I'm in and it took me five minutes of staring at him to answer "I'm a senior, yea, a senior." lol! I slept all the way to Mom's partner's (the guy she works with) house. I don't rem. half of the night. I slept sitting straight up all the way back home at 12 at night. Mom said she tried waking me up a few times when we got home, but I wasn't budging. Then, I slept so well that night, when I woke up, my bed looked perfectly made with just the flap flipped over! I didn't move at all.
Right now I'm falling asleep typing and I don't feel too great.... I just took my meds about an hour ago. I think I'll go lay down. ttyl |

its early... I feel like I just woke up (which I didn't btw). So here's a little update on my week so far.
Sunday: came back from the beach mid evening. Put stickers on my truck as soon as I got home, pet KC (the cat) and drove mom past Draft and back.
Monday: did school work. Got my license plates in the mail, put them on right away. Drove Jon to get something to eat later at night.
Tuesday: studied all day. Took an exam around 7 (Government... I am completely finished with it now). I can't remember if I drove or not...
Wednesday: did a lot of school work. Drove an hour to take Mom to her meeting at work. Sat in my truck in the parking lot for an hour while she was at her meeting. Drove to the school I'll be going to (which was right down the road from Mom's work) and sat in the parking lot... and threw a fit and vented a little bit. Saw PJ (a boy (well he's my age) that I've known since elementary school) pull into the same parking lot (I see him driving around every where I go... I don't blame him though... I love his car, too! lol) and then I followed him out. Then I think I may have driven back home (we may have made another stop... I don't rem.)
Thursday: Got up really early (well 6 is early to me), got ready, and drove Mom 30 mins to the doctor for her appointment. Stayed there for what felt like forever. Left there and walked across the street to Dollar General. From there I drove down the street to "T-Bone Tooters" which used to be "MJ's" when I was a baby and toddler (I used to go there with my family all the time when I was little. It is in Churchville, btw, which is where Aunt Stacey and Mom grew up, for the teen part of their lives... I also spent quite a few baby and toddler years in that little country town...we're talking really little, but all hills and fields.. and creeks! LOVE IT!) Okay back to the story... then I drove to the itsy bitsy post office and dropped off some of my school work. Then I drove to Grandma's. 'nuff said. Then I drove to Jake's (little gas station and convenience store) and put air in my tires (they needed it bad. they had 15 when they shoulda had 35 psi) and filled up on gas. Theeeen, I drove to a place in Staunton and then to Walmart in Waynesboro. Then I went home. So I basically drove all day ( we got home at 5 p.m. left at 8:30 or a little later a.m.) Then after I got home, I took a Keyboarding exam 2 hours later (I am now completely finished with Keyboarding).
Friday: Now its almost 8 a.m. and I am updating my lj since I haven't done it in a while. I plan on writing more on my trip to S.C., but not today... I got a lot of Bible and Computer Applications to do. Alrighty toodle-oo!
heyyyy stop taking pics of me, its late and I'm TRYING to sleep... btw did I tell you WOKE ME UP!!! (this is me lllllaaaatteee at nite at Myrtle. Mom and the rest of the gang got home llllaaatttee and I was sleeping. Mom went on another one of her photo frenz-e's and woke me up. This is the best pillow in the world... I've always slept with a body pillow. I used to have a flat one (because I had it for sooo long) that was only half the length of me... until 2 or 3 years ago when I went to AL to visit my paw-paw and he bought me this one because I just had to have it. It has moose and trees on it... its just awesome all around. It's falling apart now though... I'll just sew it. I take this one with me everywhere, no it's not a security blanket sorta thing, its just one of the two pillows I prefer to sleep with (the other one is the one my head is on, which is actually Jon's, but Mom uses it during the day (not any more since I claimed it for my own) and on the way to PA. She left it in Nick's bed when she left PA so I kept it. Nick loves my 2 pillows better, too... that lil booger! lol. ). I was laying in the loft on a not so comfortable futon... footon... w/e u know what I mean. those are my sheets, my comforter lol I took almost everything I sleep with every nite! I was listening to my ipod (hence the little black thing beside me) and when I woke up it left an earbud print on my face lol.) |

Well I finally got my truck. I love it! It is so cute. It isn't big at all, but for some reason I really like it! And ya know what, I think it's best that I start out with something small, and then graduate to a bigger truck. And the white is actually cute! Maybe I'm just biased now because it is mine?! Well I love it. I'll take pics and post them tomorrow. I can't drive it 'til Thursday, though. I have to have it in Mom's name first. Change of plans with the license plate. I'm going with the "scenic mountains to ocean" and it will say (of course) ALESHEA. Perfect. Now all I need is the actual license. But for now mom or Jon will have to ride around with me : ) We went to show Tami (Mom's best friend and my second mother ; P) and Bliss (one of my really great friends) my truck (they live diagnal from each other, which is how Bliss and I became friends the summer of 3rd grade when I was living there) and they thought it was cute, too. Then I went and checked out Bliss' car, which is also cute. She has a cd stuck in her cd player (which my truck doesn't have but I can just hook my ipod up to it) and it is such a random funny cd. Well I'll ttyl I gotta go to bed, and Mom is waiting for our "talk" (nothing bad, we just always chitchat when something fun, important, or big happens) love much, Aleshea
... and mom just *called* me (from upstairs.. i'm downstairs) for me to bring something up for her when I head upstairs... pathetic. lol |

k so last nite mom and i were trying to find a license plate for me. We were coming up with some really crazy stuff, mind you it was 10:30, which sounded ridiculous. i came up with a few today: crzyfg, bk up, tinklb, shrt y, riiite, yeaoky, misyew, imsyew, ihrtyu, dooode, gtchya, ulookd, and shnyny (if you have any questions about any, holla) but I want the one that suits me best... alshea. yup. maybe when I get the car I want in a few years I'll change it up. Now, I think that I either want the butterfly or the Virginia Tech design for my plates. idk... maybe I'll get the butterfly and then jus put a VT sticker some where. just a thought. and I'm wondering if i want to put my "stupid is as stupid does: bubba gump.." and pink tinkerbell sticker up, because I might want to save them for my car. but idk. I'm not sure about the tink sticker. that sticker is more important, i got it at disney world, but then again... i forgot... the bubba gump sticker is from cancun. well dagnabbit. we'll just have to see then won't we. maybe I'll put the bubba gump sticker on Jon's truck... (heh heh heh)
nuff bout that, I go to the beach in 6 days! Yay! ahem... I have been formally invited to ride in the "girl car" on the way down to the beach... yea I know, you are probably thinking "what???", which is what I was thinking, also. The "girl car" is the car that the girls will be switching over to when we meet up for the ride together... k i don't think I'm making sense (or to myself n e way). The girls (Heather, Leslie, ... (I already forgot her name)..., and I, ... (and possibly my mom)... will switch over from our original vehicles to the vehicle of one of the girls and ride down to the beach. Ok. that made much more sense. I haven't decided if I will or not.
Okay, well I have to go do Romans now. much love *Alshea* ; ) |

Hey ya'll,
How's it? purty good here, jus a lil busy and tiring. I have just one week until I go to Myrtle Beach (where, btw, I'll be doing more school work... lovely...) and about 3 more weeks before I have to have everything completed and grades turned in... and I still have 17 weeks of Bible and 17 weeks of Computer Applications. I am finished with everything else. It will be so nice, after August 1st, to finally have a 20 day summer vacation!!! And then I get more stress to look foward too because I'll be spending my senior year at a new school.... where I know no one. I'm getting nervous.
So any way, Tuesday I'll be meeting my new best friend that I'll be spending a lot of time with... don't be jealous.. or maybe you should be... point is... I got a truck! Not the one I wanted and definitely not the color I wanted, but I really don't care. Mom and Jon told me they were going on a date. They called hours later and told me not to forget to call Nick (yesturday was his Bday) and told me they were all the way in Lexington eating Dinner. When they finally got home around 10, I told Jon (mom was upstairs) that I was hittin' the sheets. But Jon said "no your not, sit down" and I was thinking "did I do something wrong.. I don't think so, but... hmmm" SO they sat me down and said "we didn't really have a date date. I mean we ate out, but that's not all we did." and then I started freaking out... I hate surprises. Then they said "we bought you a truck" and I knew it was the Nissan they were telling me about. Yup, I got it! It has an extended cab, good milage, its in great condition, has a bed liner and mat in the back, also has a tool box in the back... but it's white... oh well, I guess its not too bad. I'll have to see. I cannot complain though, I am very grateful. So they'll be bringing it home on Tuesday! Yay! Now all I have to do is get my license, which will be really soon.
I'm cat sitting this weekend. I love this cat. He lives next door. He's been great.... and I think I kinda spoiled him (okay I know I did). We've had great times. lol!
Well, I better get to work. ttyl Aleshea |
